so i know its set to  Quick exploration, but is their a way to edit what it chooses to do, like instead of quick, to select crystals or something?

You have to send the retainer manually on the task you want, then set it up to reset that task for example the 40 min runs. Then once your retainer is back, it will resend on the exact same mission it returned from.
