Leveling starting class after job unlock - Rabbi Schmekel - 10-14-2017

Is there a benefit to leveling a starting class beyond level 30, such as a Thaumaturge, once you unlock your job, in this case Black Mage?

they share exp.
as you lvl blm it levels thm.
exp goes to start class.
