In end game content where you have to be in charge of healing a certain tank, wouldn't profiles that just automatically heal whoever is low kind of not work well?

It's not ideal, that is correct. Typically the bot heals so well though, coupled with the fact that you can often position yourself in such a way that it makes it easier to "pick" your target.
I have a more ideal solution in the works, which will solve this problem.

Oh i see. So i suppose say getting the bot to heal who you have targeted is pretty much impossible at the moment?

No, it's very possible. If you set the Skill Target for whatever spells are in your skill profile as Target, it will only cast on that target. It's only when you get into different targets of lowest health, healing priority, etc that it tries to autopick the target.
