I apologize ahead of time if this is the wrong area to post in. I could not seem to find the beta forums for reporting issues.

Issue:
The client does not request location of FFXIV EXE, resulting in a failure screen.

Repro:
1. Create new folder for beta client
2. Extract FFXIVMinion_Launcher_beta from RAR to the new folder
3. Run the launcher

Result:
Client never asks where the EXE is after downloading the GUI, LuaMods, MinionFiles folders. There is a CMD based box showing the attached screen shot.

Workaround:
I moved the Settings.xml and Account.xml over to the beta folder and it works fine.

First of all, you should not use Beta anymore. 1.5 is already live.

Also, were you running with admin right ?

Ah that makes sense then.

I thought it was a beta client for todays patch, to test to see if it worked with the patch.
