It changed names in 3.0 from Crawler Cocoon -> Silkworm Cocoon. The bot doesn't recognize it when I put the latter.
edit: the old name doesn't work either...there's something wrong with unspoiled gathering and this item.

Can you show me the task setup you are using to farm it?
Looks like Crawler Cocoon was moved to a different ID so it still exists, and Silkworm Cocoon is showing the correct ID in the database, so I don't think it's an ID problem.

I fixed the problem with a workaround; using the whitelist. I shouldn't have to use this, but it only works this way. Darksteel and Grade 3 Thanalan Topsoil are also causing me problems, it goes to a completely different gathering node (the nearest non-unspoiled one).
The console also spams these messages when gathering for dark matter clusters, but regardless the bot works and gathers those: "Checking for unknown items" "Checking for misc items with good chance"

because the profiles are universal you need to tell it that it is after a specific node or node type which is why whitelist exists.

You say you shouldnt have to use it but how else does it know what node your looking for?

You can also reduce the radius to a range where it doesnt reach the other nodes

I thought the point of the new gathering update was to "streamline" it? Because it was working fine without the need of a whitelist before.

Is there a plan to make this more simple? I don't understand the concept of moving from the bot GUI configuration to an entirely text based one. This is the opposite of simple. While I understand the improvements that was added and how to make custom profiles, this will be hard to grasp for most minion users.

I would have just kept the in-game configuration and unspoiled node button, and make a list of all unspoiled gathering nodes with checkboxes, then the bot would take care of everything out of the box. We already have public profiles and all the information needed to make this universal for everyone.

Talking to ace about in game profile creation now.

I don't think it will be hard to grasp, and the ones that find it difficult will have already found the previous method also difficult. At least this way they are able to simple take a file, slap it on and go. Keeping up 2 different methods of making the same thing work results in code that is much more prone to error, longer test times between updates, and many more points of failure, so I choose to make my own life a bit easier in this regard.

The complaints are noted, but it doesn't change my perspective on the matter.

i got the same prob with the topsoil, how did u find out what to use for whitelist? (damn bot going for the normal node and i cant lower the range cause is random spawn)

Still Ace the new gather task ignores teleport to node in Botany

Love the setup and thanks for those that have dived into the deep end and are sharing their profiles!

Question for Ace and the team, any ideas around how we are going to get around the distance between nodes in HW maps? Especially for collectibles it's currently very difficult to achieve using the limited 150 radius of the mini-map.

Does anyone have any examples of gather profiles for a collectable?

Cheers!

how do i set an idle location?
#50
You don't setup "idle" locations, you just set up normal tasks with whatever conditions you choose, and it will revert to those while the high priority tasks are not happening.
