After I've updated the bot, it started to crash the game right after I tried to attach it to the game.

on a sidenote, maybe this helps someone: On Windows 10 I had the bot set to compatibility mode before. It wouldn't attach after starting the client with the latest patch now. I removed all compatibility then it worked (yes, I know, it says that also in the Install guide ;))

If you're experiencing crashing, try deleting the NX2 files from your Bots > FFXIVMinion > Navigation folder and letting them re-download from the server.
Some people seem to have corrupted meshes after the update, in addition to the other issues.

Ok I did that, I deleted the whole folder in fact and anything to do with MMOMinion from my PC, then did a clean install. Still not working. I get the same error message when I try to update the minion and the whole MinionApp it won't open after that.

I've attached screenshots of what happens when I try to update the bot... I've uninstalled my antivirus, deleted navigation folders, done so many uninstalls and reinstalls.. not sure why i'm getting this problem and nobody else seems to be ):

Delete this screenshots with yours character name and server you're playing on.. Everyone knows you're botting - it's an easy ban.

Everytime I hit the update button it keeps saying that I need to update the file named "ffxiv_task_fish" even though it downloads.

The reason the mods want you to use Security Essentials is because it is basically the worst kind of antivirus protection you can have because it has the worst detection rate, so the chances of it detecting minion is as a false positive is nil.

I use Avast Free antivirus and I just disable it when ever I update or run the bot and I have none of these problems. It is working fine for me aside from craft orders, but that is a known issue.

so you are saying a 3rd party company can know how to protect someone elses software better then they can them selves? I think windows knows how to protect its self. MSE and Defender are good protection. I havent had a virus in like the last i dont know 10 years or 15 years. ofcourse i dont use my computer for any sort of porn, torrents or any other hack tools.

To be fair, common sense (which is what you're practicing it seems) is the best deterrent to a lot of malware. Statistically, however, Essentials/Defender has some of the lowest detection rates of any anti-malware/virus tool. Microsoft itself has even said that MSE/Defender is baseline protection to defend against the kinds of things that you wouldn't get anyway, because you use common sense. It's not designed to protect you from more advanced threats.

Unfortunately I can't find the original news source from the MS employee, though you can find many articles discussing the comment and the statistics of MSE's detection rates with some quick searching.
