If you're using Genetic's gathering profile from the first page of this, you should definitely be using his skill profiles (also located on the first page/post of this thread). 

Technically, you don't have to, you can use your own and just update his gathering profile to the name of your skill profile. However, if you're asking this question, I'm assuming you're probably not making your own skill profiles for this. Which, for the most part, gathering is pretty standard, especially as far as collectibles are concerned.

If you select the Yellow Scrip profile, it will automatically select Gathering_Blue for the Skill Profile. It uses the below. I'd use the same if you are making your own.

the pine log/resin flight profile doesn't work correctly, it just stops on 1 position and stays there. If there are nodes near the position it gathers them but then it just goes back to the same point and just waits there. If i try and start it near a different node, it attempts to gather the node, then teleports to house of the fierce, then to namai, and finally it flies to the same spot and just waits there.

Opening the console shows this after it stops:

It will. It waits for the timeframes to come up and will then go to them. You probably are not in a timeframe for a node to appear.
